My name is Steve Bressette, and I’m a dreamer. Luckily for me—and for you, if you will—I’m also a highly-organized, professionally-trained doer. It’s this combination of factors, as well as an ability to connect with people and build networks, that enables me to dream big things—and follow through to make them happen. One of my goals for this site is to guide others in doing the same.

Steve
But, first, a little about me and how I came to create this space where, together, we can take steps, daily, to escape our everyday ruts, collectively referred to here as “the 9 to 5.” For you it may be the 3 to 11, or the 12 to 6, or simply too much work for too little pay or satisfaction. It all adds up to the same thing—you’re looking for a change, for something to fill your life with passion, while also filling your bank account with cash. I was there, once. In some ways, I still am… but that’s changing.
More Than Money
I’m an engineer, and after over two decades experience in this high-paying industry, I quit my job and walked away. It wasn’t something I planned at first, nor a move I intended to make. After all, a dependable job means money, security, and the ability to have things—but it doesn’t always mean happiness. It didn’t for me.
Imagine years spent driving the same route, in the same slow, snarled DC traffic, to enter the same building and sit in the same cubicle among hundreds of others, day after day after day. Can you blame me for wanting out?
An Overriding Passion

Machu Picchu, Peru 2011
Add that I have the soul of a traveler, a spirit filled with wanderlust, curiosity about the world and a love for learning—languages, cultures, ideas—and you’ll see why, for me, being a cubicle-dweller was not, could not be all there was. All I would settle for.
So, I quit, got on a plane, and spent the next eighth months wandering about South America, bouncing between Peru, Chile and Argentina. I ate fantastic food, met amazing people, learned Spanish so I could talk to them and, to put it mildly, had the time of my life.
A Dose of Reality
I would have kept going, on to the next adventure, but… my savings were dwindling quickly, and I was almost out of money. So, I came home, determined to create work that I loved doing, and that would bring in enough income to allow me to continue to follow my passion to travel. I needed, in other words, to find my niche.
Not Make-Work… Life-Work

Argentina 2011
Here it is. My passion is travel, but my niche in the business world is helping others escape the 9 to 5, while doing the same for myself. I won’t kid you—it’s not all been smooth sailing. I’ve joined many online programs that brought in a little money—but not enough, and not ones that felt right, deep within. They were make-work, not life-work. But they were still helpful.
Along the way, I gathered the tools, skills and experience I needed to create the satisfying, profitable work I’d been seeking. I’m experienced with many of the programs you may be thinking of trying, and can give you tips and advice. And, as I mentioned above, I’ve built up networks of mentors, marketers willing to lend me (and, through me, you) their expertise—all of which I use to help others find their niche and live the life they now live only in dreams.
